I found the information very helpful. I think I would have listed the
children of each set of parents with the parents but I was able to find
what I wanted. I do have something that I would like you to contact me
about concerning Thomas and Rebecca marrying after 1837. If that was
based on Hartwell Gary's will in the Family Search - Newton County
Probate section I see it looks very much like the date is 1837 when
he actually died in 1827. The notice was in the Hancock Advertiser, issued June 5, 1827 on Family Search - Hancock County Newspapers
It states, Died on Thursday the 24th ult, Hartwell Gary, an old and
respectable citizen of the county. Also since Rebecca was shown
as the only older person in the 1830 Newton County Census. The
period of marriage was between 1830 and 1840. Also the Milledgeville
newspapers on the Digital Library of Georgia show Rebecca starting
to sell part of the property of Hartwell Gary deceased in 1828.
